DS won’t sleep at nursery

DS is 26 months old and started a new nursery this week. He’s been in nursery since he was 6 month and never had a problem with napping, but despite being put down in the nap room in the new nursery he’s not dropping off. He comes home extremely exhausted and I’m having to pull bedtime forward to accommodate it.
feeling stressed about it. Can anyone relate/any words of wisdom? (At home he still naps for at least an hour or 2 at midday)

It's a big change and he's only been there a week. Generally children (or adults) aren't going to sleep somewhere they're not feeling comfortable or safe.
Give him time. He's in a strange place surrounded by strangers at the moment.
