My ds is 10 months old and i was wondering if he is old enough now to have his own room?
Initially I thought I would move him when he is a year old but i think may be its time now. Is it safe for this age to sleep separately in his room?

I should think so, yes. But he will be used to hearing you in the night and may not like the lack of parental presence.

But I do think if you're going to get him out of your room, now is better than 1 yr old when he has an even longer memory and greater ability to express himself.

good luck.

we moved ds at about 8 months with no problems. It is advised to keep them in with you for the first 6 months so whenever you decide to move him now will be ok.

Do i need those motion sensors or the usual baby monitors (sound ones, i have tomy) are enough?

I never had a motion sensor one for either of my lo's. I dont use the monitor for upstairs either - it is used downstairs when the lo's are in bed and we are still up. I leave my door slightly open and can hear them if they wake and cry in the night.

You'll be fine with normal monitor.
