5 year old sleep

My 5 year old has always slept so well. Recently she has started getting upset at bedtime saying she misses me and wants me to stay. I have started to return to check o her every 10 mins and she’s usually asleep within half an hour. She’s now begun waking in the night and wants me to do the same but she stays awake for hours! If I leave her she cries which turns into screaming. Last night when she woke at 3pm I told her I couldn’t keep returning and she asked me to sit while she falls asleep. 2 1/2 hours later she was still awake! I’ve tried sticker charts, calling a special person in the morning etc . I don’t know what to do and we really need our sleep back!

With the night waking with my 4 we had a cot mattress on the floor next to our bed they just came in and went straight to sleep. It was separation anxiety. They all grow out of it eventually. We did anything so we could get a good night's sleep.
