Baby waking up every 30 mins / 1 hour / 2 hour

Hello! My baby is 3 months 3 weeks old and doesn’t want to sleep. We thought we had already gone through the sleep regression as suddenly a few weeks back she started waking up every 2 hours in the night. After 2 weeks, she started self soothing pretty well and managed to go back sleeping longer stretches, even 6/7 hours straight. We have gone on holidays in a beach location in Italy (30-32 degrees) to spend time with my parents and since day 2, she has been a nightmare during the night. Despite having AC overnight, she arrived at a point where she is waking up after only 25-30 minutes of sleep during the night, and crying for me to take her out of her crib and hold her or feed. The longest she has slept is 2 hours. Even worst, she has started to wake up around 3am and she stays awake until 6am wanting to be held non stop…if I try to put her back, she starts crying. She has never done this even as a newborn…At this point I am a bit unsure on what to do: is this the real sleep regression or is she suffering from being on vacation? I am even wondering is she is teething prematurely given she always has her hands in the mouth and chews a lot on her toys…

We have a consistent bedtime routine, room is pitch dark, we brought the night light from home and also the crib sheets. During the day, we spend most of the time at home to avoid the hot weather, and only go out when it’s less hot late afternoon.

I am absolutely willing and happy to take the first flight back home in London if the problem is the environment, I just have no idea on what to do and if that would help. I am honestly just really tired and don’t want her to suffer this much…

It's probably routine issue as you're on holiday, lots of extra stimulation going on for her. She might just be craving a bit of extra comfort- maybe a contact nap would help.

I'd just try and be strict with wake windows for a couple a days to see if it helps. Remember they increase quite quickly when baby is small and they should be slightly longer at the end of the day vs the beginning.
If she's already been doing 6/7hr windows at 3 months then I'd say you're really quite lucky and she'll probably go back to them soon.

Chewing everything is a normal development stage and doesn't always indicate teething- just saying as I think i spent 6 months blaming teething for everything with my first and he didn't get a tooth until he was nearly a year.
