My baby is only 4 months old and keeps rolling to sleep on to his stomach during the night when i wake thats the position hes sleeping in his heads to the side but haven't seen him roll from tummy to back yet so really concerned he will suffocate himself 😫 how long will this last im trying to give him as much tummy time as can in the day like they say to when I researched it he only started doing this the last few days did anyone else's baby do this this young?

Both of mine were tummy sleepers from around 3 months old. So long as you continue to put him down on his back at the start of the night in a clear cot then it’s absolutely fine for him to get into whatever sleeping position he finds comfy. If he’s strong enough to get over onto his tummy then he’s definitely strong enough to move his head to the side to make sure he can breathe. Can be a bit annoying for you if they start crying overnight if they want to roll back over and can’t but it’s not risky for sids and given you’re doing plenty of tummy time in the day I’m sure he’ll crack it soon.

Thanks as I posted this he did start rolling from tummy to back during tummy time so did crack it much quicker then I thought he would lol

Mine rolled so I bought something that was supposed to stop them. They just shuffled down until they could roll anyway. I figured at that point they were probably going to be okay.
