Daytime naps - getting 9mo to sleep without bottle

Hiya all,

My lo has naps at 10am and 3pm which have both coincided with a bottle, following which she gets all snug and falls asleep.

Went and got her weighed today and HV told me that she is having too many bottles so I should drop 1/2 of daytime ones. I'm fine to do that but how do I get her to sleep when she is so used to having a bottle before sleeping??

Can only think of two things....

  1. give her less milk but still give her a bottle
  1. cut out bottle entirely and bring back dummy

Help plase??

Thanks :-)

Has your baby ever gotten to sleep on her own...at night even? If not, it might be the time to start giving her a chance to learn this skill. I wouldn't bring back the dummy. If you've gotten rid of that already, don't go back. It'll be harder to get rid of later on.
