Am I doing something wrong with naps? Advice please :)

Hello 😊 I have a 4 month, nearly 5 month old baby. We've been in the 4 month sleep regression since he was 3 months.
I was wondering if anyone can advise on his nap times? This is my first baby and I'm the first of my friends to have a baby. So I'd love some advice from anyone here. 💕

So his first and second nap are around 1hour 45 minutes long. Wake windows around 1 hour 45 minutes - 2 hours.
Third nap is around 30 minutes. Last wake window is around 2 hours - 2 hours 30 minutes.
Overall we aim for 3 hours 30 minutes - 4 hours maximum of daytime sleep.
I use huckleberry to help track sleep.

Sleep at night is difficult since being in this regression and feels like it's never ending.
Do these nap times sound good for his age? As I dont know if this is contributing to the multiple wake ups at night or not. They're every 1 or 2 hours.

We try get him to bed around 8:15pm and he wakes around 6am..although we'd love an extra hour or so in the morning! Sometimes we can get him to drift off for a bit longer, but it's usually a mini contact nap.

Any other advice would be so welcomed!

BF or FF ?

By that age, either way 1 hour wakes regularly is not usual.

What happens when he wakes in the night? Wondering if you need a different approach to nights as your days sound OK.

@Hercisback1 BF. Oh no, is this not usual for a regression then?
If it's been say 1h 45m, I'll feed him. If it's only been an hour, we'll try to soothe him back to sleep.

Régressions aren't usually lasting months. They do take a step backwards.

1h 45m isn't long enough for their stomach to be empty at that age, I'd try to soothe and resettle a bit more if you can. I know it's really hard and the nights seem endless.

We personally don’t get too focussed on nap schedules until they’re more like 6m when they can go in their own room in actual piece and quiet with some darkness. Does your baby give obvious tired cues you could follow instead? Could they be teething? What time will they start nursery when you go back to work? (If you are going back that is)

Does it sound like something is wrong? I know it mostly lasts a few weeks, but I've read that for some it does last longer..worried now 😥

The amount of sleep sounds fine. I have a 4 month old and her wake windows are similar - up to 2 hours, her naps are just structured slightly differently with a shorter first nap and a longer 2.5 hours nap in the middle of the day, last nap 30 mins.

How does he resettle if he wakes in the night? Could you introduce something like a Ewan the dream sheep or similar or a dummy to resettle in the night without feeding?

Regressions are rough - dd is my third and although regressions never bothered my eldest and his sleep was never affected my second was a difficult sleeper and regressions really affected her so they really are all different!

I do watch for his cues, he turns away more, gets a bit whingey. Though they're not always obvious. He gets redness around his eyebrows, sometimes yawns.
I won't be returning to work, so will be keeping him home with me until school. I do think he could be teething. He's very dribbly. Today he's been more fussy and I think I might be able to feel something in his gums, but I'm not sure. @Btowngirl

We resettle him by rocking/bouncing. We have a white noise machine by his bed. We're working on the dummy, but he's not bothered with them atm.

He wakes up on all fours making noises. He doesnt settle himself, he's managed it and couple of times, but not for a while.
