Night terror?

DS (2.6) just woke, screamed loudly for five minutes - not reassured by being held at all, then lay back down and went to sleep.
He didn't seem to be awake though he had his eyes open. Was calling 'mummy' and stretching his arms towards the wall, even though I was holding him.
He's been poorly this week and I'd been in to check on him and felt his forehead (had fever few days ago) just before he woke.

My dd has done something similar and I was thinking it was a night terror.

Thank you. Have googled night terror since posting and sounds exactly like what happened. I'm hoping it was because he's been unwell and itnwon't mean he's going to have a lot of them. It's quite frightening isn't it?
