My 4 yr old son is awaiting his op for tonsils and adenoids out in the next 8 months but I'm really struggling with his non stop craziness hyper active behaviour every afternoon . He starts the day pretty relaxed and happy then by lunch time hes rubbing his eyes yawning he will get to about 2 pm and he has his quiet hour were he looks exhausted but will not nap . He hasn't napped for 2 yrs. He then goes really really hyper jumping of furniture turning all the taps on in house running back and forwards bouncing on trampoline and then really difficult to get him to sleep he keeps switching his light back on and sometimes gets hysterical. The last few weeks he started coming in to my bed around 3am and getting up at 6am so sleeping from around 7.30 until 6 but the quality of sleep must be bad. I know hes overtired and sleep deprived but it's impossible to get him to nap . It's so sad to see him so tired but refusing to rest like he's running of adrenaline has anyone else had this and do you think it's caused by sleep apnea ?
