3 year old suddenly comes into my bed at night

I just need some advice.
I'm 36 weeks pregnant and sleep has already become worse recently.
I've noticed my 3 year old daughter keeps coming into our bed in the middle of the night. She's usually really good and has always slept through in her own bed.
DH would normally be sleeping in our bed but for months he ends up falling asleep on the sofa. I don't complain too much because at least I don't wake from his snoring.
I need to nip this in the bud with DD but I'm just so tired and struggle to sleep myself that I give in.
Has anyone else had similar issues?

Very normal for kids at that age to look for their parents at night IMO, but I panicked about the same thing when pregnant with our second!

Initially my husband used to take her back to her own bed every time, but to be honest after a while we decided to attitude shift and just embrace having a full bed for a couple of years!

We figure there'll be a time when we no longer hear the little footsteps coming down the hall and we'll miss it then.

And I ended up cosleeping with our second (which has truly been a life saver and sanity saver this time around - none of the sleep deprivation I had with our first, horrendously bad sleeper)... So lots of nights it's me, my husband, our 3 year old and the baby all in one bed.... it's cramped maybe, but we are all getting more sleep than we would otherwise, our 3 yo feels safe and loved, and it works for our family!

Good to know it's normal for her age. Not sure on co sleeping with our bed, too small for the 3 of us. I'm glad it works for your family 😊

hi @TheSnappySquirrel just to say we’ve had exactly the same thing - previous good sleeper coming in at 3 years old when I’m pregnant. We are still attempting to put him back to bed but it’s not working and been 4 months now so have bought him a bigger bed to try co-sleeping in there. Hope we both crack it soon!
