Baby proofing room

We want to get a floor bed in my baby’s room which I would sleep in for second half of the night

we are going to baby proof the room and remove most of the furniture or attach securely to the wall

however we have a dunelm rocking chair in there and there’s nowhere else for it to go - is this a safety risk and is there any way of baby/safety proofing the rocking chair?

Classic curved rockers? It's an obvious crush hazard if baby's anywhere near it.

If you're handy with a drill and saw you can probably make it safe by screwing a couple of ~2ft planks of straight wood to the inside of the rockers at floor height, so it literally can't rock any more. You can get smooth wood from any DIY place, look at 2x4" or 1x5" depending on the shapes of the rockers.

If it has a multiple metal levers swinging mechanism, the sort that would give an inserted hand an industrial injury, similarly the only way to make it safe is to stop it moving at all. Likely with a couple of pieces of wood and a few screws, but exactly how again depends on the mechanism. It might even have shipping bolts to stop it moving already.
