Too big for next to me

My 4 month old is getting too long for his next to me but neither he or I are ready to be far away in a big cot. Does anyone have any suggestions of an in between please? Something like a cot that can be like a next to me so I can reach in for now and then into a proper cot when he (and I) are ready.

There’s the chicco next to me forever which is far longer and wider but still works the same xx

Couldn't you just get a drop side cot and put it next to your bed.
