Sleep regression at 3 months?

Good morning mumsnet 😊
I have a 3 month old who in the last week has been waking up every hour through the night. Previously he would wake up every 2-3 hours needing a feed. Now his feeding at night has stepped up and he's more unsettled. He's crying a little more at night, whereas he wouldn't really cry as much before. Last night was so so hard. He's still napping in the day, fighting them sometimes though. We've ended up putting him in our bed to co sleep, which isn't ideal. But last night he still woke up while in our bed more so than the nights before.
Please give me your thoughts on this, we're struggling with sleep deprivation. 😟 The night feeds every hour are exhausting. Please help!

It’s likely a growth spurt. Doesn’t make it any easier but you kinda just have to ride it out! Happens frequently in the first year. Are you breast or bottle feeding?

@DamnitCarol That's interesting, thank you so much for replying. I'm breastfeeding. How long do these tend to last for? What makes you say it's a growth spurt rather than regression? I hope you're right!!
