Is this sleep regression?

I've posted about this previously, but it's gotten a bit worse since. So I'm wanting to ask for your advice! My nearly 3 month old has gotten into a good sleep routine over the last few weeks. Waking up 3 times or so to feed in the night. Settling back down easily. But earlier this week his wakings have really upped to pretty much every hour. And when we put him down to sleep, he's unsettling himself, rubbing his eyes, making noises, then starts to cry. He hasn't cried at night since being tiny prior to this. Last night, he woke up so many times and we really struggled to get him back to sleep. When he went down, he'd wake himself up. We've barely slept and I feel awful. Yesterday evening he didnt nap at all, so was awake for around 4 hours before finally going to sleep. Does this sound like a sleep regression? What do we do to get through this? Please give me your help and advice, I already feel on the floor with exhaustion.

He's also been fighting sleep more in the day. Usually he'll nap mid morning and early afternoon really well. But he's not settling as easily. He normally has a good feed and sleeps after. But he's having a bit of a feed, gets distracted and doesn't want anymore until later, then he'll cry, feed again and finally sleep.
