Early sleep regression? Bed sharing? Help!

Hi,
My LO is coming up to 3 months this week and has recently been sleeping for 2-3 hour stints at night, waking up for a feed and easily settling back in the next to me. We use the love to dream swaddles as baby still has moro reflex and rubs his face, which wakes him up.
Anyway, last night we popped him in the love to dream transition swaddle for the first time. His sleep was awful. 😳 He initially slept for 2 hours, but then woke up constantly, wriggling around and crying. He doesn't normally cry at night anymore. After several hours of this, and trying to soothe him and put him down, I decided to put him in bed next to me. He then slept for around 3 hours or so, pretty much undisturbed.
Does this sound like sleep regression is hitting early? And does bed sharing help or hinder things? He has his 12 week vaccines this week, so it's come at a bad time and I'm now dreading it even more than before! 😫

it doesn’t sound like the sleep regression, no. The sleep is all over the place naps included for that as they suddenly have sleep cycles that last 40ish mins and will wake up on the dot at that time and will have to learn to put themselves back to sleep and connect those cycles. Honestly it just sounds like a bad night. Baby could have been uncomfortable in temperature, slightly more hungry, a label could have been tickling them, literally anything and they just needed to feel close to you to get through it. I know that possibly isn’t wildly helpful but it feels like that is the case here. Hopefully bubs sleeps better tonight.

@summertension that sounds promising then, thank you for replying! He slept quite a bit today, a few long naps. Which I'm guessing wouldn't happen in a sleep regression based on what you're saying. Let's hope it was just a bad night. Slightly anxious about bedtime though!
