7mo suddenly won't sleep in cot

why?? he's been so excellent at sleeping thus far. he's been in a cot for about 2 months and has generally been pretty good. now all of a sudden he doesn't sleep in there unless i put him down asleep but if i move him to his buggy he'll go to sleep as good as gold. i don't understand.
he started solids about 6 weeks ago and has been sufferin with teething pain but tis seems to be diminishing. can anyone shed any light on what is going on in his little head and the best way to deal with it?

We have the same problem. No idea what to do apart from bring her into bed with me so she can feed herself to sleep. Bad precedent, I know, and as soon as we try to put her back in her cot she wakes up and starts yelling. We are starting with controlled crying today. She is screaming her little head off at the moment. Anyone got any ideas?

Exactly the same problem here (again, my DD is just coming up to 7 MO, has 2 teeth partially through and has been on small amounts of solids for about 6 weeks). Anyone out there with experience of this? (And preferably some solutions...!)
