Sleep training a toddler

Any advice on sleep training my 15 month old daughter?
Since she was around 3 months old we have been bed sharing and it has worked up until now. Once she's asleep she stays asleep and I can leave her and get on with whatever. I have a camera so I can see if she wakes up. But getting her to sleep has become almost impossible. I'm currently doing laps and laps around the block in her pram and then transferring her into her bed but this can take till 9/10 at night and then I'm left with no time to myself.
Ideally I would like to put her to bed and leave her to sleep on her own, but obviously will have to put her in a crib for safety reasons, which she won't be used to. She's very mobile, loves climbing and has been walking since she was 9 months old. Very inquisitive and sociable. So I'm not sure if this plan will work.
Has anybody been through something similar or have any ideas or tips on how i should go about doing this.
Thanks for any help!

Definitely get a floor bed and a baby gate on the door. We just put a double mattress down and aired it regularly. Sounds like she'll be climbing out of anything else. And then what are her naps looking like? If she's not going over until late and having two naps I'd drop to one and try to make sure she's up for 2.30pm latest if you're aiming for a 7pm asleep bedtime.
