.....at taking DD dummy off of her?

Shes 2 1/2 and this was always the age i said i would do it.

She only had it at night time and when she had her nap, but i feel almost guilty.

I played the 'fairy and a pressie ' trick. Told her that if she wanted a trampoline, then she had to give her dummies to the trampoline fairy.

After her nap today, i got a bag and stuck a picture of a trampoline on it. I asked her if she still wanted her trampoline and if she did she had to put her dummies in the bag. So she put them in the bag and put the bag 'out'(for the trampoline fairy) with the empty milk bottles.
10 mins later we went into the garden ( where DH had put the trampoline up) and she was beside herself with joy!

Then tonight when she was having her story, she started to ask for it, distraction was the key and i steered her away from tears.

She is taking longer to settle tonight and is up there now talking to herself and reading her toys a story. She seems ok, its me, i feel sad and like i have tricked her...i know its a good thing, for her in the long run but i still feel sad... its like my little girl has left me!!

Just wanted to share!

Aaaww. Don't feel bad. It is a bit sad that she's a 'big' girl now I guess.
