so she’s my 2nd, it’s not my first rodeo so to speak but by god she confuses me.

everywhere i read says they need a chunk of sleep in the day, so i usually let her sleep as long as she likes within reason. today so was asleep from 11-1:20pm…she was buzzing for bed at 7pm…was she overtired/undertired?? is it all a myth!?

i eventually got her down around 8pm and she woke up a few minutes ago crying and has been latched on since

ive always been under the premise of ‘never wake a sleeping baby’ but should i be waking her after an hour or so is she having too much sleep?

i was under the impression waking and crying after the first sleep cycle was overtiredness?!

I think a lot of perceived wisdom is nonsense made up by people who make money from sleep advice that has over time become gospel. But you might find it helps to cap her nap.

But if this is a recent development my guess is she's teething. They seem to feel it more at night and it can go on for quite a while before they come through.pain can eake them and nurisng is a comfor. In the end I had to give a dose of Nurofen (better for teething than Calpol) before bed when teething was at its worst.
