Trying to stop baby feeding to sleep but he falls to sleep as soon as I feed him at bedtime

My baby is nearly 10 months and breast fed but takes a bottle each day.

i feed him downstairs in the light before he goes to bed to then transfer awake into cot but he goes to sleep as soon as he is on the boob if it’s nearing bed time. Does this mean I am putting him to bed too late?

i am trying to stop him feeding to sleep as he wakes in the night for comfort from boob but I would like to improve his sleep now

You could feed him a bit earlier in the bedtime routine - feed first then bath, teeth brush, pjs and bed.

You could try and night wean him slowly but keep the bedtime feed to sleep?

Yeah, feed him before bath time and PJs. Half an hour early won't make a difference in terms of calories/night waking cause of hunger.
