not sleeping in the day

hi, my ds is 11 weeks old and will go in his cot well at night, so i am definately not complaining. the proiblem is that during the day with each sleep he goes in his cot then within 1/2 hr he is awake screaming, i go in and settle he goes off to sleep then within 5 minutes he is crying again, this has been going on for 3 weeks now and i really dont know what to do. i would just really appreciate any advice

Sorry, no advice just sympathy. My dd - 6 wks is doing exactly the same for a week now. She will not sleep in the daytime, which again not complaining about because she is ok at night, but it is hard to get anything done. Have tried sling, going for walks etc. Also putting to sleep in a different room to night times but the only thing that gets her to drop off for about 15 mins is if I breastfeed her and she falls asleep on me, but then I'm stranded. Am hoping it is a temporary thing.....

DS is 8 months old and is still like it. I am absolutely in despair about it. Have resigned myself to the fact that I'm probably going to have to put up with it until he's at the age where you can talk to them about it and try to reason with them (about 2yo?) Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear
