Holiday has made self-settling good sleeper regress!

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this or any tips - we just got back from a two week holiday (just an hour ahead) with our 11 month old. For months she’s been great at going down for naps in the cot (after just a story and a kiss), and bedtime - milk, bath, story, kiss goodnight and she actually smiles as we put her in her sleeping bag and sucks her thumb to sleep.

The holiday seems to have ruined all that (even though we kept her on UK time and tried to stick to the bedtime routine). She is now already crying at the end of the story anticipating being put in the cot and screams for ages once put down if we don’t stay in with her :(. I’m really miserable about it as I’m just about to go back to work and have suddenly lost my evenings!

She was in a travel cot in our room for the first half of the trip (the second place we stayed she wasn’t as there was a spare bedroom), and also doing all her naps in the buggy when we were out and about - so I guess that has got her out of the habit of going to sleep on her own? What can we do? I want my good sleeper back!
