Should I sleep train or night wean now I'm pregnant?

Hi ! I've recently found out I'm pregnant with baby #2 and it would be nice to start getting some sleep! I have a 14 month old who still wakes and breastfeeds on average 3 times a night. He goes to sleep in his cot but ends up in our bed either at wake up 1 or 2. I've tried not breastfeeding him when he wakes but he screams and I usually give in. If his dad tries he also screams. I don't really feel like we have an effective way to calm him down other than bf.

I'm a bit worried about how I'm going to cope with this alongside pregnancy exhaustion and morning sickness and as I get bigger I don't really want a toddler taking up half the bed.

Should we be trying to night wean or sleep train now? Or will it be easier to wait until my milk drys ?

I found bf really uncomfortable after the first trimester. Supply dropped and it became a bit painful I felt chewed on and uncomfortable and DS used to twiddle the other nipple. It really stopped being a pleasant feed your baby back to sleep experience.

He was largely weaned straight away and started sleeping through before DS2 arrived. The odd comfort feed in times of trauma.

We insisted on his bed pretty early, but I was still getting up in the night with him while pregnant (3 when dc2 born)
i tandem fed for about 9 months, stopped as dc1 felt too old really and clearly wasn’t for stopping - still asks about it now!
