4 month regression- how long to leave them to settle

DD2 going through the 4 month regression. 2 hour stretch is a luxury, mainly 45-90 mins just now all night every night and has been for the past couple of weeks. Doesn’t cry on waking, chews her hands and slams feet which I know can be ways to try and soothe herself. I usually leave her doing this 5 mins or so and twice she has dropped back off, but otherwise I either pick up to cuddle or BF back to sleep. Then it’s a nightmare getting her back into the bedside crib. Anyway last night I left her a little bit longer doing the foot slamming etc but picked her up just because it didn’t seem to be working. Still no crying though. How long would people leave them doing this for if not upset? Should I try leaving her longer? (I would pick her up immediately if crying). Also I know some people swear by bed sharing but I don’t really want to do it, I’ve tried it and didn’t get any more sleep, neither did she.

If not crying don’t pick up :) sounds like your baby is really trying to settle themselves back off.
I kept picking up and bf back to sleep now we’re at 10 months and won’t resettle for anything but boob! :( x
