Hi, just wondering if anyone has been through similar and has any advice. My DS is 12 months old and has just started to refuse all naps in the cot, when previously he would go down without a problem. He just stands up and screams and screams until I pick him up. Even staying with him in the room and trying to comfort him by patting him or singing he just screams and screams. We have resorted to taking him out in the buggy, he would stay awake all day otherwise. He's normally asleep within a minute once he's in the buggy and we're out walking, so it's not that he's not tired.
He started settling in sessions at nursery last week which coincided with the start of this so I wonder if it's separation anxiety. I have been very gently easing him into nursery, only left him for half an hour the first time and then for 1.5 hours and on the whole he did well. Bedtimes been not quite so bad thankfully, he does cry a little now whereas before he didn't but will still go to sleep quite quickly. Please someone give me hope that this is just a phase and it will pass quickly 😥
