Reluctant co sleeping with reflux

I have an EBF 8 week old on omeprozole for reflux. After two weeks I have definitely noted improvements but I still can’t get him to sleep in his next to me. We have fallen into co-sleeping, and whilst I’m following safe co sleeping guidelines, I just feel really uncomfortable bed sharing. It gives me huge anxiety plus I just find it for the most part uncomfortable sleeping in one position unable to move and I’m feeling very touched out.

When I place him in the next to me, he makes his I’m very uncomfortable noises, like he has acid in his throat then is sick multiple times and then gets really upset. It doesn’t seem to matter how long he is upright for before I lay him down. The thing that doesn’t make sense to me is that when laying on his left in bed beside me he doesn’t do this.

Looking for words of wisdom on how to get him into his cot so I can get some sleep.

DC1 had reflux and never slept in the snuzpod. I was advised to raise one side (the snuzpod has an attachment that allows for this)… but it didn’t work. But may work for you.

Have you tried a pacifier? Mine never took to it at night but it could help your little one sleep better.

Also are you using white noise? Something that smells of you?

Both my DC didn’t take to anything and it was about 6 months until they “got it”. I understand the frustration!
