Toddlers vs. Sleep

Hey fellow zombie-moms, my two toddlers apparently run on solar power, because the second they watch anything on my phone, they turn into tiny, wide-eyed night owls. But here’s the magic trick, if I actually drag my exhausted self outside and let them sprint in circles like manic little cheetahs? Poof. They crash harder than my WiFi during a work call. I limit their screen time for an hour or 2 every day.
Anyone else notice this? Are screens secretly pumping them full of invisible espresso, or is physical play just the universe’s way of bribing us with early bedtimes?

TV or screens right before bed isn’t a good idea for any of us though! And physical activity and fresh air is always great for sleep. I think of my toddler in spaniel terms- he needs a good run off the lead at least once a day.

It's because screens make your alpha brain waves spike which in turn keeps you awake.
