Clenching jaw in sleep

I’ve suddenly become very aware that I hold my teeth together tightly and clench my jaw to fall asleep.

I’m 15 weeks pregnant and wake up in the middle of the night to use the toilet, I’ve noticed that to fall back to sleep I hold my teeth together and clench my jaw and now I’m wondering if this is the reason I wake up with a headache most days. If I realise I’m doing it I relax it straight away but I think I’m doing it subconsciously.

Any tips/tricks to stop this?

Thank you!

I do this. Go to the dentist who can make you a (really attractive Grin) mouth guard thing to protect your teeth and stop the jaw/headaches
