Hi,

My daughter is a terrible sleeper. She’s almost three. The GP recommended giving her a dose of Piriton to help her feel sleepy. I also asked her about Melatonin gummies. She tried she can’t prescribe in the UK but loads of families buy them. Can anyone recommend a brand, please?

I have been getting them for my autistic son for a few years from piping rock website. Very reasonable price and quick shipping from America. You can’t buy them in the uk or from a uk website anymore unfortunately

We have melatonin at 9 years old. I think a toddler is too young. Work on bedtime routine and hygiene first (no screens)

We had melatonin prescribed after our 4 year old who had always been bad with sleep went for 4 days with no sleep. He was already under the Paed.

Youngest currently has it prescribed as doesn't sleep without it. They currently manage 5 hours with melatonin.

Both subsequently diagnosed with asd and autism. I wouldn't give it to a toddler, I'm not convinced enough is known about the effects on children inc puberty. Ours have only had it as a very last resort.
