Only taking 1oz during night feeds

My LB is 4 months. He wakes around 3 times during the night but will only take 1oz. He sleeps 3 hour stretches max.

My LG was sleeping through by now or having 1 full feed so this is all new to me.

I cant help but think if he was to finish a bottle he would sleep longer. But he cannot stay awake, even through a nappy change ect.

Is this normal? Obviously i know babies wake for food and happy to continue feeding as long as he needs it.. but 1oz!!

He hasn’t had a great start. Medicated for reflux but still isn’t 100% settled. Feeding during the day is still a little challenging but roughly 4/5 oz every 3 hours.

I’d try a faster flow teat and tickle his toes if he starts to doze

I think he's probably more waking for the comfort than the milk in that case. I don't really think there's much you can do about it though. Have you tried not offering milk maybe at the first or second wake? Can you settle him back to sleep without it? Then I wonder whether he would take a bigger milk feed at the next wake?

My 4mo is exclusively breastfed only because they won't have a bottle, but he's now waking every 1.5-2.5 hrs all night for feeds. I'm exhausted and I wonder if some of it is comfort but being breastfed I can't really tell so easily as can't see the milk volume.

Yes I have tried using a dummy but he won’t settle until he has his 1oz then he is straight back off lol. I have tried moving to size 3 teat today (MAM) but was wayy to fast!
