17 month old waking multiple times during night

Hi All,

My LO is waking multiple times during the night to drink my breastmilk and then go to sleep again but on baby monitor when I play it back I can see he can stay on my breast for like an hour and sometimes falls asleep on it.

Is it normal for toddler to wake up this many times night time?

He also has been suddenly crying out loud suddenly while sleeping and it worries me. It's the kind of cry you expect if someone had a bad dream poor bubba.

Please do let me know any advice

DD2 had an awful sleep regression at 18 months, I think this is quite common. She wouldn’t go back to sleep without one of us touching her, I remember lying on the floor with hand through her cot bars. Could have co slept but didn’t want to start that habit.

It lasted about 6 weeks as I recall and then got better.
