Feeling really fed up. My 10 year old has been finding it really hard to go to sleep. For context, she does suffer from anxiety. However we have family time and dinner about 6, bath at 7 and then we usually something nice like cream on legs or painted nails. She takes magnesium at bedtime and she usually is in bed by 8.30 and reads for a little while. She then used to use Moshi guided meditations really successfully but unfortunately despite sticking to this routine she is wandering up and down the hall up to 11pm. She has always been am early riser so I am now really.concerned about the longterm impact of reduced sleep. Does anyone have any thing that has helped?

Hi there. Such a tough thing to deal with. Both my children were like this, never settling despite our best efforts. They were diagnosed with ADHD and after discussion with paediatrician were encouraged to try melatonin. It's been a game changer for us. Where we live now we can buy it over the counter and even I use it occasionally!
It was difficult deciding to use 'medication', but the improvement in their sleep was immediate and beneficial. Pus melatonin is naturally made in the body. It would see that my two just don't make enough of it!
Perhaps speak to a GP. Good luck.
