Hi
My 10 month old daughter has had the most horrific sleep for the past 3 nights.
She is very congested up in her nose. Tried everything, Inc saline spray, the vapor plug in etc. We put it down to combination of a cold and teething.
After last night being the 3rd of no sleep and it seems to just be worsening, I'm wondering if she has some food intolerance. Been trying to think of everything she's had any different - Tuesday she had some cheese with crumpet with some butter on, and that night evening/night was when it really started off. Then Wednesday and yesterday she had some greek yoghurt and they were the worst nights - could it be some reaction to that? . She has hipp porridge (mixed with water) every morning but she's been having that longer than this has been going on. She's been on cow and gate formula since birth and she's never had congestion like this, even with previous colds and bouts of teething. So my main question is could she have been fine with the formula but still have some intolerance to dairy in these forms?? I might be way off and it's just a cold we have to ride out. She is seeing the dr this afternoon as well, last time she had similar (but not as bad) back in November they gave her antibiotics in case the congestion had developed a little ear infection though they couldn't see much.
She's actually ok in herself most of the day apart from a few grizzles. then the evenings she just goes downhill. She will go to sleep ok for the first 1-2 hours after going down, but will start stirring at around 8pm, spitting dummy out constantly which I assume is because its hard for her to breathe while it's in (her breathing is so loud like snoring but you can tell it's all the congestion in her nose) and from then on won't settle back in her cot.
Any ideas at all??
