Started sleep training my daughter last week and she has settled amazingly well at bedtime and we’ve had a couple of great nights where she has more or less slept through the night. However, a common theme we are seeing is that she is waking up, settling herself back off to a light state of sleep then waking up crying again a few mins later. This cycle repeats for hours. I can’t sleep as her cries wake me, but they don’t go on for long enough to warrant me going into her as they typically only last 5-60 seconds.
For reference she is 10.5m and on 2 naps a day of varying lengths but typically doesn’t have more than 2 hours of day sleep per day. The one time we have had a solid night with no wakes was when she only had an hour of daytime sleep. She is just learning to walk so not sure if this has something to do with it? I always ensure she has at least a 3 hour wake window before bedtime and typically put her to bed around 7-7:30pm. Does anyone have any suggestions on why this might be happening and how I can help stop this? Thank you x
