Hi! Basically looking for some advice/hope.
My 5 month old draughter is an absoluty awful sleeper. I can deal with most of it but it just seems so abnormal and not like anyone else I'm wondering if anyone else's baby is the same?!
She is hysterical when needs to sleep. HYSTERICAL. it's awful. No matter what you do. Rocking, dark room, white noise, carrier, singing... Anything. Also tried doing nothing.
We've watched wake windows, watched sleep signs.... Nothing makes a difference.
Only boob or car will get her to sleep and as soon as the car stops or nipple is out of her mouth she wakes up instantly. Some days she is getting less than half hour of sleep during the day. At night she wakes every hour or less. Co sleeping only works while she is attached to my boob.
As soon as she thinks you are trying to get her to sleep is when she gets real mad.
What the hell do I do!

Give her a dummy and let your partner settle her.

She won't take a dummy. We've tried and tried. And my husband does settle her sometimes when I'm dealing with my toddler or I've just had enough but she can cry for up to an hour every time

My son can be a bit like this. Is she getting enough fresh air in the day? We sometimes give our boy a warm shower/bath right before bed. Although I breastfeed still a bit (21 months), we also do one bottle of formula a night to get him properly sated. He is in own room. We sometimes get him to sleep in there from 8.45 - 5.30 am then in with us for a cuddle. Other nights he wakes at 1 and then is in with us every two hrs
