Overcoming contact naps for 12 month old

Any tips on helping a 12 month old fall asleep in her cot? She used to be great at it but after illness and being away she now only falls asleep for contact naps. She doesn't really get upset in her cot but she tries to get to sleep without success. When I pick her up she's asleep within 5-10 minutes so not being tired isn't the issue. She doesn't transfer so I need her to fall asleep in bed.

She went through a spell of separation anxiety a month or so ago, so we've been lying beside her cot while she falls asleep. This works fine at bedtime and did work at naptime until we went away.

She won't do buggy naps and car naps are hit or miss.

Yep definitely a floor bed and baby gate on the door.

I was hoping for something a little less drastic 😂 I had considered a floor bed before but I'm not sure it's right for us. We live in an old, cold hpuse and she's and active sleeper. She needs to wear a sleeping bag but that doesn't seem very safe when she can then be wondering around her room at night. There's also a floor level vent beside her bed.

I put her in her cot for her nap this morning, absolutely determined that she was going to fall asleep in it with my support. She really did try but after 45 minutes she was getting further and further from sleep so she's now asleep on me. I love watching her fall asleep knowing she feels safe and comfortable in my arms but I'd also love her to feel that in her bed!
