Ferber - baby sleeps sitting up!

Hi all, we have been doing Ferber over this weekend with my 10.5 month old. She is settling really well already and stops crying within 2 or 3 mins but then stays sitting up and falls asleep like this! Every time we creep in to gently put her down she wakes so I've started leaving her but I'm on edge the whole time until she finally flops over, bless her. I'll feed her once after 1am and every other time she wakes up she sits up, settles pretty much immediately then the whole thing starts again.

Anyone else have this and when does it end - I find I'm awake longer than when I was rocking her to sleep! She's napping now and I'm watching the monitor as she's almost doubled over 🫠

@Nuglife123 Do you have any updates on how your ferber sleep training is going? Currently training our 10 month old and early days but not seeing much improvement

Hi, yes it worked a treat! About a week of her falling asleep sitting up but apart from when she was ill she has slept through consistently and is sleeping longer too, sometimes 7-7. Her daytime naps still sometimes take 15-20 min for her to settle but at night she cries for less than a minute before she settles. Total game changer. Keep it up, it's tough at first but it's really been worth it. I used to feed or rock her to sleep for each nap and at bedtime and in the night too, as well as co sleeping as she would not settle at all once awake. I hope it clicks soon, how long has it been?
