Not hungry in the day..feeding all night!

My baby is 8 months, exclusively breast fed, weaning journey very slow due to allergies so a little food in the morning and evening.
My baby has some how got into the routine of feeding all night long and having really short breast feeds throughout the day. She doesn't even really show hunger signs I offer her a feed every 2-3 hours and baby will just take a few minutes and that's it. Then throughout the night longer feeds every 2-3 hours.
I've tried cutting the length of night feeds down but she gets really upset. It is having a huge impact on both of our sleep.
Hoping for some advice if anyone has been through this x

Yes it's known as reverse cycling and is an absolute pain!
I fixed it when DS1 was small by making sure I fed in a quiet and boring place (he was often distracted), offering more feeds during the day and my DH getting up and settling him if I knew he wouldn't be hungry I.e. before the 2/3 hour mark.

Bedtime routine can also help.

Thank you so much !
I think that will definitely help feeding in a boring room she is very distracted.
My partner works shifts so really difficult to have consistency in the night as sometimes he isn't here but will do our best when he is. Baby feeds that often I literally don't know when she will be genuinely hungry or not hungry now :( x
thank you for replying x

Baby sign language can definitely help you there. Sign milk for everytime you offer a feed and she will link the two and start signing it back they can pick it up pretty quickly.

Sometimes feeding when they are a bit knackered can help too. At 8 months I would feed every 2ish hours during the day but would offer say after a baby group or before getting in the car etc if before the 2 hour mark.
