Waking for dummy

More of a dummy question than sleep but
weve had to go in to my 9 month old Several times the last few nights to put her dummy back in - she's teething which is defitely accounting for some of the waking but also realised as shes still on the 1st size this could be why and I've read that upping the size can help; we didn't think to change while she was OK with the smallest ones. But now she's that much older there's either the 2-6 months or 6+. (We use mam) if I skip straight to the 6+ will they likely be too big for her? Has anyone done the switch from the newborn ones at this age?

Try the bigger ones and see if she will tolerate it

We had this and weened ds off the dummy at one, he slept through after that and we didn't have the issue of him being too attached to it when he got older
