Okay, so baby has been a brilliant sleeper up until 4 weeks ago when she got chickenpox and everything’s changed.
she wakes between 4-10 times in the night now and there in like 50 min intervals.
she’s recovered from chickenpox and now has abit of cold.

im not here to moan I just want some people opinions/ experiences.

we’ve currently put her in her own room. We have a solid routine of 6.30 bath 7pm bottle 7.30 bounced to sleep in bouncy chair. Rain on she’s asleep in minutes (although not properly cause if I stop bouncing she wakes) bounce for around 15-30 mins depending on how much settling she needs. leave to sleep for half hour not been bounced then take her up to her room which she was sleeping from 9.30-3.30/5.30 but now isn’t. I don’t really know what the next step is with her but I can’t have her crying in her room as one I hate it when she cry’s I need to settle her so she doesn’t get worked up, when she cries too much she’s sick and two we have a four year old who wouldn’t wake from her crying but I also don’t want to take that chance.

so any advice on your own experiences would be great!
thank you :)

I always go by , as long as the baby was ill for , that’s how long it will take sleep to get back to normal. To be honest if she’s got a cold she’s probably congested and it’s waking her up often. Just go with it and try to keep her upright for a little while when soothing her in the night. Hopefully it will pass soon and her sleep will naturally return to longer stretches. My nine month old was ill all throughout December and it’s only in the last few days that he’s doing stretches longer than two hours at night (I’d forgotten how amazing sleep makes me feel haha).
