Hi everyone,
My first born is almost 13 months and I returned to work before Xmas. My little one has never slept through the night but before going back to work we gave him bottle / breast and he was in a sort of routine, up every 3 hrs or less but at least we knew what was happening. Now it's much worse.
My partner has taken away the bottles as advised by health visitor and now I hear so much more crying , if I try to comfort him he wants the boob and after 20 minutes or so it's like the BF was a high energy drink that has made him super energetic and raring to go!
We tried instilling a more structured bedtime routine eg dinner , milk, 30 mins after brushing teeth, bedtime books, lights out, cuddles but all this can take over an hour and he's still screaming / crying.
Has anyone used a sleep coach that doesn't tell you to just leave the baby alone and get on with it? I don't like the idea of leaving him alone to just cry it out, there has to be something in between.
Any recommendations? No one in my family or circle of friends has ever used sleep coaches so I'm really on unfamiliar ground here.
