Hello everyone

So my 19 month old son went from sleeping through the night to being up atleast twice a night minimum, so he's still in a travel cot in our room, we upgraded the mattress inside, ever since he was poorly three months ago (flu, tummy bug, teething) he doesn't sleep through the night, during this time we had him in the bed as he was so poorly, but now he has taken over our bed, one of us share the bed while the other sleeps on the sofa as we both work, I wonder is the cot to small? Has he gotten use to our bed? What do we doo!!! Would appreciate any advice, and also just wanted to have a moan lol our first was so amazing with sleep, this one has different ideas lol we've tried shortening nap time, the other thing is if he goes to sleep before half 8 he's even worse, but then I feel guilty as he will only get 10 hours sleep. If you made it this far thank you and please give me your advice.

At 19 months old I think the travel cot is too small. I'd just go straight to a toddler bed now

Why is he in a travel cot?

You can buy a cot that changes into a bed
Do that this week and put him in with his sibling?

I would change the travel cot to something bigger. Even if that isn’t the ultimate root cause of the problem, introducing a change to switch things up a bit is a good idea when you have got stuck in a rut and need to change something with a routine. It’ll take perseverance but get him a new bed and be consistent with making him sleep in it, it won’t be too long before he is settled in the new bed (in theory!) xxxx

Yes that is the plan, our first child nearly passed away, so I have found it difficult to let him out of my site, but I agree it’s time !

Not entirely sure how to reply back to someone’s message on here, pretty sure I’m just posting in my own thread lol, but thanks for the advice, it’s time for his own bed, he will share with his older brother, just don’t want him to disturb his brothers sleep.
