14 month old and naps

My son has had one nap a day since he was around 9/10months as he started nursery then and doesn’t nap there.
he has his nap in the morning from around 9:15-11:30ish,
everywhere I’ve read is saying they need to drop the morning nap and have an afternoon nap, problem is he just doesn’t sleep at nursery, no matter how tired he is, how hard the staff try, he just doesn’t sleep, he is at nursery 1pm-5:30pm 3 days a week,
the morning nap was/is working for us so is it ok to keep him having a morning nap until he is ready for no naps at all?

There are no set rules on when or how long naps should be. If this works for your child and their night sleep isn't awful then just keep doing what you are doing.I doubt mine would nap at nursery if he was on half days. It may be that their nap pushes later as they get older and start to drop it. All the guides are just guides and are often based on babies that take the higher end of recommended sleep. Mine only does 10hrs at night for example, when everything online says he should do 12

Yes absolutely, do what works for you, not what Google says... Is there a reason why you are questioning it if its working for you?

I think just because it’s been Christmas holidays and we’re out routine, he’s not had nursery for 3 weeks, that his night sleep has been affected but he is also teething and naps have been all over the place, while I’ve been working and his dad has been off where usually dad is working Monday to Friday so everything has been thrown off
I also keep seeing in groups on Facebook of people saying that their little one has two naps a day or naps in the afternoon.
His night sleep is not that great at the moment and Only wants to sleep on the sofa with one of us, which is a phase and will end now we’re starting the normal routine again.
I wasn’t overly worried but when you read things it makes you think you’re doing it all wrong. I’m doing my best and learning everyday
