Citalopram & sleep

Hi all

I’ve been on citalopram for a few years and it helps my anxiety greatly :) however, I sleep really awful and I’m convinced it’s a side effect from these.

I take them in the am, stop coffee at 4, limit screen time, read before bed, have sleepy time tea etc etc and I don’t have an issue with going to sleep most of the time, it’s more waking lots throughout the night. I’d love to sleep through - it must feel amazing :)))

My friend is bringing me some melatonin back from America and I wondered if anyone has used these alongside citalopram and whether it worked for you? Thanks ♥️

Are you peri menopause age?
My DH is on it and has no trouble sleeping, day or night.

I have trouble sleeping, but not related to the medication.
I take mine at night though, I don't know if that makes a difference?
