Hi, I had a question I bought my son a love to dream swaddle rm 20 to 24 degrees moderate, our room temperature is always kept at 20/22 degrees I’m not sure what I’m suppose to put on him underneath vest and sleep suit? Do I use a blanket? As we are in colder months?

What tog is the swaddle?
My little one has a 2.5 tog sleep suit, and I always put a short sleeve vest and baby grow (with feet) under it.
Our room is usually around the 20-21 temp.

Love to dream have their own guidelines on their website on the relevant product under 'Temperature information as to what to wear under the swaddle bags. We followed this and never had any issues.

Do not use a blanket, these products are designed not to be used with a blanket on top so this risks overheating your baby.

There is no tog size, newborn for moderate temperature 20 to 24 degrees and that’s all it says currently my son wear shirt sleeve vest and sleep suit and I use swaddle wrap

This should help. I swore by those swaddles when DS was a baby, but always dressed him with longer layers than this chart because I felt it was a little cold with just what was suggested. Still a good guide;

You are not meant to use blankets with the Love to Dream swaddles, just adjust what they are wearing underneath. Start with their guidelines and then adjust accordingly for your baby eg for 20-22 degrees they say to use vest and sleepsuit and for 22-24 just a sleepsuit. You can also use just a vest if it gets warmer. I always found their guidelines about right for mine.

You can also drop the temperature a bit if you can in winter. I think 18-20 is more in the recommended range for babies.
