DS is 31 months. We’ve found the past 4-6 weeks his bedtime was getting slightly later but he generally went down ok. We were capping his nap to reflect this change. But this past week it’s been a complete nightmare. It doesn’t really make a difference whether he’s skipped a nap, had a nap long or short, quiet time etc. It’s all gone completely out the window! And we know he’s tired as his behaviour towards bedtime is erratic. He’s definitely getting a second wind and then becoming wired. When he doesn’t have a daytime sleep (mostly when at nursery) he’ll ask for a nap at 4.30 in the afternoon. We’ve been saying no but then he’s bouncing off the walls at bedtime. The only way he’ll sleep now is if one of us lies on the floor holding his hand. We’re just not getting any time to get on top of the house in the evening.

Any advice? He’s currently still in his cot as he’s always loved it but I’m wondering if we should take the side off so he can play until he decides he’s tired. We’re feeling very stuck atm!
