Hi everyone I'm just looking for advice to be honest!
So my ds has never been a good sleep contact napped until around 16 month through the days and nights and would scream all night too
Were finally in a routine where he sits on my knee with some cows milk and I rock him, by the time the bottle has finished he's asleep and I can transfer into his bed with no issue. Since this we have stopped the rocking and just give bottle on knee- asleep into the bed

My concern now is I have just given birth and do not have the time to do this any more with a new born so I'm looking for advice or other people's experiences

Last night I tried feeding him milk in his bed in which he did fall asleep and stay asleep. I'm just unsure how I get it so that he doesn't rely on milk or me to go to sleep
TIA

My biggest piece of advice would be that now is not the time for big changes. His world has been turned upside down by the new baby, and he really needs things as normal as possible. So stick with the bottle to sleep for now - it's brilliant he was happy to do that in bed. You may need to feed baby at the same time or someone else settle your son, but try to stick to the same routine for now. And then in six months you can change things if you want.

Sorry OP but I agree. If you needed a change you needed to have it done and established while still pregnant.

Your 20 month old is having so much change at the moment at home, you don't want them thinking it's the baby's fault they no longer get you at bedtime. They need your routine comfort more than ever.
