Advice for moving baby from beside me cot into nursery crib?

My 3 month old is in a snuzpod beside me but in a couple months will be too big for it and transition into the big cot in nursery

he currently falls asleep well in his snuzpod at bedtime but is a terrible napper during day (contact and car naps only). He won’t last 5 seconds being put down anywhere

how can I use the next couple months to make the transition into the nursery cot easier?

I’ve had two little ones who started in Snuzpods and then moved to bigger cots at 6/7 months. Neither of them were great sleepers in the snuzpods (DS ok for naps but woke up a lot at night; DD wasn’t great for naps or nighttime and we did a lot of contact naps). I didn’t do anything to prepare them for the move to the big cot. BUT both of them took to it really well and their nighttime sleep improved massively once they were in their own room in the big cot.

So I don’t think there’s a lot you need to do - just make the change!
