I'll caveat this by saying my LO has never slept well. We coslept pretty much from the get go because it's the only way he'd sleep. He's now 23mo and we'd seen improvement with stretches in the crib and even some STTN(!!!) but it's all gone out the window for over a month now. We've been going through IVF at the same time and I just learned this week I've had a MMC so I just really need a break on a night and not these endless battles.
Nap timing does not seem to impact a better bedtime. I even bought a bedtime guide to make sure our routine was optimal. He can't manage the day skipping a nap (falls asleep at the dinner table), capping it doesn't seem to matter, or if we let him nap as long as he wants, he just doesn't seem to be tired enough or willing to do anything other than climb me/ practice his talking/ be a crazy toddler until 9 at the earliest, pushing his wake window over 8h most days The only way we skip the battle is taking him in the car but that just seems a ridiculous habit to start! He wakes latest 730. The stretches he's managing in the crib aren't long at the moment either, we usually bring him in the bed by the time we've gone back up, so I'm wondering if it's a bad period of SA/development? Any help appreciated, I desperately need a break to grieve this MMC 😞
