Flat head from sleeping on one side...

Hi,

DS turned 9 weeks on Saturday and has a definitely preference for turning his head to one side when he sleeps... So much so that he has a noticeable flat head now on one side of his head. I've tried turning his head to the other side (or at least facing front!) when putting him down but it ALWAYS goes back to the side he prefers. Should I worry? Does it even out eventually when he gets more mobile? I took him to a cranial osteopath once (I think at 3+ weeks) as he was a ventouse delivery and was crying a lot. He's still grumpy but no way near as much and is a rather easy baby. Should I take him back to the cranial? Will it help him turn to sleep on the other side of his head? Thanks!

Ax

I used a goi goi pillow which helped sort ds's head out.

He sleeps in an Amby. Can I use the goi goi in there?

You want a Sleepcurve mattress. Theyre a new design with a dip where the head lies to take the pressure off the flat spot. Plus, it opens the airways and lies your baby in a neutral position, and they can move thier heads! Great new design to stop flathead syndrome!
